SBDS Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Institute of Nursing is situated in Aherwan. District Fatehabad. It came into existence in 2006 and approved by HARYANA GOVT, RECOGNIZED BY INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL AND HARYANA NURSES AND NURSE MIDWIVES COUNCIL, CHANDIGARH and affiliated to Pt. B.D Sharma University Health Sciences, Rohtak.
At SBDS Institute of Nursing, the nursing discipline is nurtured by the mutual collaboration and co operation of the SBDS Welfare and Society. The College of Nursing was started functioning from July 2006 onwards and 1st batch for B.Sc, P.B.B.Sc, GNM and ANM courses were admitted in the academic year 2006-2007 and regular classes were started from September onwards.
SBDS institute of nursing has M.Sc Nursing Basic B.Sc nursing with annual intake of 50 students where as General Nurse Midwife and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife with annual intake of 40 students and total teaching faculty strength of our college is 41, out of which 5 are M.Sc (Nursing) with different speciality M.Sc in Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Community Health Nursing.
Graduation in Nursing or B. Sc. (Bachelor of Science) in Nursing is a four-year professional course. To pursue B. Sc. nursing the candidates should have minimum eligibility criteria, having completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. One can get admission into the B. Sc. nursing course by appearing in several entrance exams held between April-June. Indian B.Sc. nursing degree is widely accepted throughout the globe since the course teaches nursing science along with the essence of humanities.
Career Opportunities: After completing P.B.B.Sc. Nursing, graduates can pursue a variety of career opportunities. They can work as staff nurses in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. They can also work in specialized areas such as critical care, pediatrics, maternity care, psychiatric nursing, and community health. Additionally, P.B.B.Sc. Nursing graduates can opt for higher education and research opportunities.
Candidate should have passed 12th in any stream. Preferences will be given to the Science Students with aggregate of 45% in General Category & 40% for Reserve Category (SC, ST, BC & ex-servicemen) Duration : 3 Years
